Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information MemoryPet collects, how it is used, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.
Effective date: July 18, 2026
Information we collect
Depending on how you use MemoryPet, we collect:
- Account information, including your email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
- Pet profile information, original audio clips, final enhanced audio samples, standalone audio projects, labels, playback settings, enhancement settings, and related metadata.
- Photos, videos, filenames, file details, human-review records, and processing records submitted for restoration.
- Purchase, media-credit balance, transaction, refund, and billing-status information. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by MemoryPet.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, request logs, error details, and security events.
- Messages and attachments you send to MemoryPet support, billing, privacy, security, or legal addresses.
Pet-sound recordings
When you select an audio or video recording to create a pet-sound sample, the source file is processed in your browser. MemoryPet uploads the short original clip and final enhanced version you choose to save. The complete source recording and surrounding context used for noise analysis are not uploaded by this workflow. Keep your full source recordings; MemoryPet is not intended to serve as their only archive.
A standalone audio project is stored separately from pet profiles. If you later purchase the full MemoryPet app, assigning or recreating a sample for a pet may require an additional user action rather than occurring automatically.
Conversation mode and microphone access
Conversation mode may request microphone access to detect when speech or sound has paused. Microphone audio is used in the browser for live sound-level detection. It is not recorded, transcribed, saved, or uploaded by that feature.
Photo review and restoration files
A photo submitted for restoration is uploaded to private storage and placed in a review queue. A limited group of authorized human reviewers may view the image, filename, account email, and review status to decide whether it may be processed. Review notifications contain a protected link rather than a copy of the image.
Approved images are made available through a temporary signed link to the restoration processor. Rejected source files are removed after the review action unless preservation is reasonably required for security, abuse, reporting, or legal purposes. Approved source copies are removed when MemoryPet records the job as completed or failed. Completed outputs are stored temporarily for download and may be removed after 30 days. The restoration provider may process transient copies under its own infrastructure and service terms.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and provide requested features.
- Store pet profiles, voice samples, and standalone audio projects; generate private playback links; and enforce account limits.
- Conduct private photo review, process approved restoration jobs, send status notifications, and make results available for download.
- Process purchases, refunds, media-credit grants and returns, and account-access renewals.
- Respond to questions, investigate failures, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the service.
- Maintain records required for accounting, tax, dispute, security, and legal purposes.
- Understand service performance and improve reliability and usability.
Security and activity records
MemoryPet records account creation, authentication, selected high-value actions, purchases, credit use, content submissions, moderation actions, and administrative adjustments. These records may include the IP address, browser or device information, time, request path, and related identifiers. MemoryPet does not need to record every page view to maintain this history.
Full IP addresses in ordinary activity records are scheduled for deletion after 365 days. Specific records may be retained longer when placed on legal hold or when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, reporting, or compliance with law. Authorized developers and reviewers may access these records only for operating, securing, and administering MemoryPet.
How information is shared
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate MemoryPet. These may include providers for hosting, authentication, databases, private file storage, restoration processing, payments, transactional email, logging, and security. Authorized reviewers may access submitted photos through protected MemoryPet pages. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
MemoryPet does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and local storage
MemoryPet and its authentication providers use cookies or similar browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain secure sessions, remember settings, and operate the service. These technologies are used for service functionality and security rather than third-party behavioral advertising.
Retention and deletion
Account information and saved content are retained while needed to provide the service. After paid account access expires, pet profiles and assigned audio samples are retained for 12 months before becoming eligible for deletion. Standalone audio projects remain available while the account exists unless you delete them or request account deletion. Restoration inputs and outputs follow the shorter schedule described above. Billing, fraud-prevention, review, security, backup, and legal records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary. More detail appears in the Storage and Deletion Policy.
Your choices and requests
You can update profile information and delete individual content where those controls are available. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing privacy@memory.pet. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Security
MemoryPet uses access controls, private storage, encrypted network connections, signed file links, reviewer allowlists, and other safeguards intended to protect information. No system is completely secure, and users should keep their sign-in methods and original media backups protected.
Children's privacy
MemoryPet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact privacy@memory.pet.
International processing
MemoryPet and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where service infrastructure is located. Those locations may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as MemoryPet changes. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
